- Okkoto-nushi is a giant white boar god with four tusks and the eldest of his clan at about 500 years old. Blind from old age, but his insight and sense of smell remain sharp. He has fought continuously for a long time to protect his clan and the forest. He was former lovers with Moro-no-Kimi, but they separated about a hundred years ago due to differing views on countermeasures against humans. In the latter part of the story, he suffers severe injuries in battle against humans, his transformation into a Tatari-gami progresses, and finally, the Shishigami sucks out his life, causing his body to disintegrate.
