Backstory
Ritsuko Akagi is an exceptional scientist who inherited her mother Naoko Akagi's talent in computer technology. She belongs to the Special Agency NERV Technical Development Department and serves as the chief of Evangelion development. She is also the administrator of the supercomputer MAGI, which incorporates her mother's personality. She has been close with Gendo Ikari, Misato Katsuragi, and Ryoji Kaji since university days, and had an extremely complex emotional relationship with Gendo. While loving Gendo, she learns of his relationship with her mother and harbors deep conflict.
