History

Backstory
Built in 1919 at Doncaster Works in England based on Great Northern Railway A1 class steam locomotive blueprints, but used initial scrapped blueprints resulting in small firebox and power deficiency, struggling in operation. Purchased by Sir Topham Hatt in 1922, supplemented combustion issues using special Welsh coal. After derailment accident, rebuilt with Belpaire firebox into LMS 5 class steam locomotive (Black Five), able to exert power even with normal coal.
