- Kirito lost his parents in an accident during his early childhood and was adopted into the Kirigaya family. From a young age, he loved games and found his place in the virtual world. In the SAO incident he participated in at age 14, he was caught in a death game and bore the pain and trauma of losing many companions. After the incident, he confronts the resolution of virtual world incidents and world crises. Sugou Nobuyuki, as the chief researcher at RCT, conducted human experiments sacrificing Asuna and many players, secretly advancing his ambitions from behind the scenes. He tried to exploit Asuna for marriage and establish a social position, but was defeated by Kirito and others and arrested.
