History
- Backstory
- The incarnation of the battle goddess Athena, who manifests on Earth once every few hundred years when evil overruns the land. Thirteen years before the story begins, she descended to her own sanctuary, Athena's Temple, but was targeted for her life by the schemes of the Golden Saints, and was saved by Sagittarius Aiolos. Receiving the dying wish of the critically wounded him, she was entrusted to Mitsumasa Kido, the chairman of the Graad Foundation during his trip to Greece, and raised as his granddaughter 'Saori Kido'. At 13 years old, she effectively inherited the foundation. She hosted the Galaxy War to make the Saints known to the world and achieved the purification of the Sanctuary. She played important roles in the Poseidon arc, Hades arc, and Asgard arc, guiding many warriors. Further stories are depicted in the Heaven Chapter Prelude, NEXT DIMENSION, and Saint Seiya Omega.
