- After entering Umbrella Corporation's executive training facility, he advanced his research alongside scientist William Birkin. While serving as captain of the special forces unit S.T.A.R.S., he secretly operated as an Umbrella agent. During the mansion incident, he faked his death once, then revived with superhuman abilities from the virus he self-administered. Eventually, as the sole survivor of the Wesker Plan, he inherited Spencer's ambitions to become the mastermind pursuing world domination. Even after Umbrella's collapse, he maintained his influence from the shadows, plotting humanity's elimination and the creation of a new order under himself using various viruses as a superhuman, but was ultimately thwarted by Chris, Leon, and others, sinking into lava and dying.
