Sao Feng is the leader of Chinese pirates dominating the South China Sea, based in Singapore, and is counted among the legendary pirates. His father was the previous Pirate Lord of the South China Sea, and upon his father's sudden death, he inherited the position along with the eight pieces of eight. He sought the black pearl of the deep sea, the "Deep Sea Opal," and engaged in conflict with his brother Liang Dao. He did not yield to pressure from the East India Trading Company, formed a pirate alliance, and fulfilled roles such as managing sea charts. In the third film of the series, as captain of the Empress, he fought the East India Trading Company, sustained a fatal wound, and entrusted the captain's token to Elizabeth.
