Founder and leader of Konohagakure's Anbu 'Root'. Once a disciple of Hiruzen Sarutobi, but due to ideological differences, he forged his own path. In the past, he performed extensive body modifications using numerous forbidden techniques, successfully implanting multiple Sharingan eyes into his right arm. As a shadow ruler, he continued covert operations and manipulations for the village. Ultimately, he clashed with the Uchiha clan and Sasuke, meeting his end with the collapse of his plans.
