History
- Backstory
- Born between a Japanese mother taken in by relatives in Yokosuka after the Tokyo air raids and an American military officer father, as a Nisei. Experienced discrimination from neighbors in his childhood, developing a strong longing for his homeland America. When his mother fell ill while running a tobacco shop, he helped with the store, searched for his father's whereabouts, contacted him by letter, and moved to the US. After graduating from university, he joined the JSDF and was discharged upon his mother's death. After serving as an instructor in the US military and commanding mercenaries, he became FOXHOUND's survival instructor and trained Solid Snake and others. Later, he co-founded Militaires Sans Frontières (MSF) with Big Boss and served as deputy commander, but due to complex organizational circumstances, there are suspicions of betrayal. He was killed by Liquid Snake during the Shadow Moses Incident, appearing as an impostor during the event. In his later years, he organized Diamond Dogs and led the organization while burning with revenge using prosthetics.
