- Gorosaurus' suit design is Shinobu Yasumaru's first kaiju sculpting work.
- The suit used a styrofoam core, and the head prototype was created with water clay.
- The head contains mechanisms and is heavy, so it is suspended with piano wire in some scenes.
- White FRP teeth and claws are the first attempt in Toho works.
- Suit actor Yutaka Sekita performs the small forelimbs using only from the elbows onward.
- In 'Destroy All Monsters', a second-generation Gorosaurus appears as a separate individual.

- Carnivorous kaiju evolved from descendants of Allosaurus that inhabited the Late Jurassic of the Mesozoic Era. Inhabits the jungles of Mondo Island, awakens from slumber due to volcanic heat, and begins activity in modern times.
