History

Backstory
Deforme Rodan, defeated by Godzilla, is enhanced and revived by sparking life energy through the protection of psychic girls and the power of the ancient fern "Shipniokis". It gains a red body and becomes able to spit uranium heat rays. It struggles to protect Baby's egg and battles Mechagodzilla. Additionally, in the series, it appears as a mutated ancient pterosaur Pteranodon, featured in numerous works from the original to the Heisei era. Depicted multidimensionally, with body color varying by work, but the red enhanced form is representative. In addition to supersonic flight capability, it uses shockwaves. In the 2019 Hollywood film "Godzilla: King of the Monsters", it appears in an otherworldly form covered in lava.
