History

Backstory
Hijikata Toshirou was the vice-chief of the Edo Shogunate's police organization, the Shinsengumi, and a capable leader who strictly commanded the group. Originally the hidden child of a wealthy farming family, he had a unfortunate childhood but excelled in swordsmanship. Amid the chaos of the Joi War, he established the Shinsengumi regulations and unified the group. Feared as the Demon Vice-Chief for his high combat ability and leadership. In his later years, he met a tragic end with the collapse of the Shinsengumi, but his spirit and sword techniques are still passed down today.
