At age 16, she accidentally finds a Dragon Ball (2-star ball), invents the Dragon Radar, and sets out on a journey to collect the Dragon Balls to wish for a 'wonderful boyfriend.' Along the way, she meets Son Goku and becomes his first companion. Over many years, she overcomes numerous hardships in the Saiyan, Frieza, Android, and Majin Buu arcs, supporting her comrades and family. Later marries Vegeta and becomes the mother of Trunks and Bulla.
