History

Backstory
Originally an ordinary high school student with high spiritual power. Triggered by a family crisis from a Hollow, he receives Shinigami powers from Rukia Kuchiki and enters the path of battle as Substitute Shinigami. His mother was killed by a Hollow, and while harboring guilt and inner conflict, he confronts threats from Soul Society and Hueco Mundo alongside many Shinigami and comrades. In the latter half of the story, the secrets of the multiple racial powers dwelling within him are revealed, and he challenges the ultimate enemy Yhwach. Ultimately, he regains his Shinigami powers and returns to a peaceful life in the human world as Ichigo.
